First Stop..
Germany
Fun fact about my husband, Collin - he’s half German! His mom’s side of the family live in Germany so we were grateful to be able to kick off our vacation by visiting with them. As you can imagine, starting your honeymoon with family doesn’t exactly scream romance :) All jokes aside, I’m very grateful for his grandparents and their hospitality. They went out of their way to spoil us with fresh fruit from their garden, homemade spaetzle, and PLENTY of wine.
We were planning to see Collin’s best friend in Germany and meet his new baby so I asked him to tack on a night to a city/town we’ve never been.
Ulm
Day 1
Arrive/Check-In
Ulmer Munster - climbed the highest church tower in the world! Definitely got our work out in with this
Explore the city & shop
Dinner at Restaurant Gerberhaus - traditional German food and this place was recommended by the hotel owner
Day 2
Breakfast - the best part about hotels in Germany is their breakfast. Always super fresh and traditional
Blautopf - the most beautiful spring i’ve ever seen! Sadly you can’t swim in it but a great place to have lunch and walk around
